I usually try to drive through the North Cascades National Park at least once a year, usually not long after Highway 20 opens in the ‘spring’. I say ‘spring’ because it’s really still mostly winter at that elevation and latitude that time of year, and you never know what you’re going to get, weather-wise. Sometimes it’s blue skies and sun. Most of the time it’s clouds low enough to obscure the peaks.
But sometimes they’re high enough that a break in the clouds lets a little light through. And then, folks, you have D R A M A, like this shot from my drive up there in 2021.
I’ve added this one to the store here. I also updated the front page of the site to make the first image in the banner point to the store, and this seemed like the right entry to show for that. 🙂
