The cherry trees are blooming, but not much else.
While working with a client, who’d recently moved away from Seattle and wanted some wall art to remember it by, I realized I’d never walked onto the Montlake bridge to get shots across Lake Washington, with the Cascades in the distance. So I fixed that yesterday evening.
Plenty of snow on those peaks yet, and will be for a couple of months. Spring comes late to the mountains, but when it does those meadows are worth travelling to see. I know I will!
The second shot comes from a walk through the Washington Park Arboretum. I was scouting the cherry trees there, seeing if they were ready for me use them in an upcoming maternity shoot, and noticed that pink bloom. Someone must have put it up there (I had to shoot with the camera raised above my head to get the shot), but I appreciate the heart-shaped hole it was in. I heart flowers too, stranger!
