I recently took a walk through Seattle’s Volunteer Park in the late afternoon, and their Dahlia Garden was a riot of brilliant blooms.

There were many different varieties, in so many shapes and colors it was hard to believe they were all the same type of flower.  Whenever I see dahlias though I always think of my cousin, who loves the red ones, so this post is for her.  🙂
