Color photo. A flat topped wooden railing extends up from bottom of the frame. It is unpainted, and worn from exposure. A large crack snakes up the middle of the railing, extending into the blurred distance. The railing is part of a walkway extending into a lush green wetland, and ends at a fenced viewing platform.

Juanita Bay Park is a pretty place with lots of nature to see, but during a late afternoon walk there the thing that kept drawing my eye was man-made.

The warm sunlight on the brown wood, and the texture of its weathered surface, brought me some joy. I even found a backlit leaf to include, so you know I did.  😉
