Starting off the year with some moody black & white photos which, given how the year has begun, feels appropriate.
I took these on New Year’s Eve while walking through Seattle on my way to a party. I appreciated how the fog worked with the lights; completely obscuring those further away, while making those close by stand out. Maybe that’s the takeaway for the times ahead. In the dark and fog the light closest to you, that you can see, matters even more.
Gear: Nikon Z 7II, Nikon 24mm f1.4
