Black and white photo. The remnant of a massive cedar tree. The bark has fallen away and the wood underneath is gnarled and knotted. A hole all the way through the giant stump shows a bit of fallen log on the far side.

Whenever I see a hole going right through a tree stump or trunk I always think “There’s a fairy door”.

This one was right around the corner from where I took the shot I called “Poseidon’s Door“, so I guess the Olympic Peninsula is just chock full of doorways to other realms.

That’s probably why I like it so much.  😀
