Color photo. A flower with eight petals, white with fuchsia centers at the base. The middle of the flower is a mass of yellow. A bee sits in this yellow field, collecting nectar.

I’m pet-sitting for friends this Labor Day weekend, which meant I was close enough to one of my favorite photography spots (the Center for Urban Horticulture) that I could swing by easily. So I did, camera in hand, macro lens at the ready.

Lots of different pollinators, and other small things, were out doing their thing, keeping busy. Seems like a good way to honor Labor Day to me. Enjoy!
