One of the reasons I don’t shoot my Sigma 150-600mm more is the difficulty carrying it in anything other than my dedicated photo backpack. It’s a great lens, but very heavy (about 4 pounds), and quite long on its own, even before it’s mounted on the camera.

So a few days ago I experimented with putting it cross-ways in one of my walking bags. It fit that way, barely, and was much easier to carry than it would have been around my neck (ugh), or in my hand (also, ugh).

I’m relatively happy with what I got that day, and will probably try further experiments with including it in the bag when I’m walking.
