More from recent walks.
The first two are from the Yao Japanese Garden, which is part of the Bellevue Botanical Garden. Of the three Japanese gardens I’ve been to in the Seattle area (the others are at the Washington Park Arboretum, and Kubota Garden), Yao is the smallest, but it is every bit as beautiful as the other two. I mean, really, that’s kind of what’s great about all of them: they’re very different from each other, but each is wonderful in its own way. If you’re in the Seattle area, give them a visit. And if I’ve missed any Japanese gardens in the area? Let me know in the comments.
The third is a shot I got when I was in Capitol Hill last night. The composition lent itself to an unconventional aspect ratio, as well as being black & white.
