Black and white photo. A rocky mountain peak, snow still clinging to it, against a sky full of wispy clouds. Dark trees cover the slopes below the snow.

I’ve been dealing with a pretty gnarly move, which has kept me busy the past month or so, but that’s finally over so: new post!

Last week I took my usual spring drive up to the North Cascades, and my friend Lisa Jordan of Kyr Creates joined me. She painted, I photographed, and a good time was definitely had by all!

What with all the warm weather we’ve been having there was a lot less snow on the peaks than I’m used to this time of year. It was around 90 at the Diablo Lake viewpoint, which was A Lot, and made me glad I’d worn my convertible hiking pants. Those legs got zipped off right quick.

Plenty of blue skies with high wispy clouds, though, just like I like it. 😀

All photos taken with a Nikon D850.  Lenses used were a Nikon 28-70mm f2.8 and a Sigma 150-600mm f5-6.3.
