Color photo. Macro photo of two facted crystals, sitting in sunlight on a piece of white paper. The facets are a deep blue. The light that has passed through them to fall on the paper is various shades of white, yellow, and purple, and the way they overlay each other evokes panels from a stained glass window.

I was out shooting a group of folks earlier today, catching the last of the University of Washington cherry blossoms. While it was sunny when I got up, it had clouded over by the time of the shoot, and rainy on the drive home.

I figured the sun wouldn’t make another appearance today, but I was happily wrong. The light streaming through the blinds in my dining room inspired me to grab the two chandelier crystals I picked up at an antique store years ago and do something a little different for Macro Monday.
